![]() ![]() We spent only one day wandering there but it’s an area that deserves much more time. Guadalajara centro historico was an easy Uber ride away. We planned to stay at a hotel in Tlaquepaque at the end of the trip to relax by the pool and soak up the sunlight before heading home. We did an excellent walking tour and learned about the history of the city and the tunnels. It is a very unique city and I would have happily spent a couple more days exploring. If we were to redo the trip, we’d spend only 1 night here or do a day trip on our way to the next city. ![]() Loved poking through the shops in this area. I was initially disappointed in the pottery selection in the centro but on the second day I stumbled across the multitude of pottery stores on Highway 51. We visited Dolores Hidalgo as we enjoy smaller towns and wanted to see their pottery. Our favorite museum here was the Museo Histórico Casa de Allende The high percentage of expats in this city meant we heard more English spoken and paid more for restaurant meals than in the other cities on our list. San Miguel de Allende, as I’m sure you’ve read, is one of the prettiest pueblo magicos we have visited. Our favorite museum was the Museo de Arte de Queretaro, not so much for the art but due to the architectural beauty of this former convent. Queretaro has a large relatively flat historic center making it easy to explore, even on my own when my husband was unwell. We had planned to spend 4 nights in Querétaro, 2 nights in Bernal (unfortunately my husband was well so we canceled this stop and stayed the extra nights in Queretaro), 4 nights in San Miguel de Allende, 2 nights in Dolores Hidalgo, 5 nights in Guanajuato and 4 nights in Guadalajara/Tlaquepaque.Īll the cities were worth visiting. ![]() In March 2023 we spent 3 weeks traveling from Mexico City to Guadalajara by bus visiting most of the cities on your list Here's how we divided our time. But you'd end up getting a bus in Morelia before moving on to Guadalajara. They're close enough to each other that you could do day trips, but from Patzcuaro it'd be more convenient to visit Santa Clara del Cobre, Uruapan, Quiroga etc than it would be from Morelia. There, I'd probably suggest splitting time between nights in Pátzcuaro & Morelia. I suppose while in Salamanca, you could stash your luggage for a couple of hours and visit the Ex-Convento San Agustín, about the only worthwhile attraction in that industrial city. That can be a challenge.īase yourself in Queretaro for a few nights and do day trips to Bernal, Tequisquiapan & San Miguel.īase yourself Guanajuato and do day trip to San Miguel and a day trip to León for leather shopping.īase yourself in San Miguel then do day trips to Guanajuato, Queretaro, Dolores Hidalgo & Atotonilco with a visit to one of the hot springs.Ī bus from Guanajuato to Morelia I believe will require a bus change in Salamanca. One thing to decide is if you'd want to base yourself in one city in each area and make day trips to surrounding places of interest, or do a night or 2 in cities of interest in each area. So with 10 days or so after cdmx & before Guadalajara, you can easily enough explore both the San Miguel/ Queretaro/ Guanajuato area as well as Morelia/Patzcuaro. ![]()

![]() ![]() In a nutshell, a disruptive company is a business whose innovations force other businesses to alter their strategic direction.Īudi made the list for "pushing autonomous cars closer to fruition with a laser-scanning road detector that fits in a vehicle's front grille," and Toyota for "expanding its dominance of the hybrid-car market with its new plug-in version of the Prius." MIT Technology Review, a magazine all about innovation, has announced its list of the 50 most disruptive companies in 2013, and both Audi and Toyota made the cut. The numbers are stored as noisy signals, and the closer the two numbers on the ANS, the larger the overlap of the two respective signal distributions is. There are several explanations for this phenomenon termed the numerical distance effect.Īccording to the dominant model, numbers are stored on a continuous (analog) and noisy representation called the Analog Number System (ANS). In a symbolic number comparison task, performance is better (i.e., error rates are lower and reaction times are shorter) when the numerical distance is relatively large, e.g., comparing 1 vs. The Numerical Distance Effect and its Explanations It was found that the omitted number range (the distance between 3 and 7) was considered in the distance effect as 1, and not as 4, suggesting that the distance effect does not follow the values of the numbers predicted by the dominant explanation, but it follows the small-large property association predicted by the alternative explanations. To dissociate the two potential sources of the distance effect, in the present study, participants learned new artificial number digits only for the values between 1 and 3, and between 7 and 9, thus, leaving out the numbers between 4 and 6. In everyday number use, the value of the numbers and the association between the numbers and the small-large categories strongly correlate thus, the two explanations have the same predictions for the distance effect. According to alternative explanations, the distance effect may be rooted in the association between the numbers and the small-large categories, and performance is better when the numbers show relatively high differences in their strength of association with the small-large properties. According to the dominant explanation, the distance effect is rooted in a noisy representation, and performance is proportional to the size of the overlap between the noisy representations of the two values. In a comparison task, the larger the distance between the two numbers to be compared, the better the performance-a phenomenon termed as the numerical distance effect. 2Doctoral School of Psychology, ELTE Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary. ![]() 1Department of Cognitive Psychology, Institute of Psychology, ELTE Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary.Attila Krajcsi 1 * † and Petia Kojouharova 1,2 † ![]() ![]() ![]() His roundups of new features in Windows 10 updates have been called "the most detailed, useful Windows version previews of anyone on the web" and covered by prominent Windows journalists like Paul Thurrott and Mary Jo Foley on TWiT's Windows Weekly.
